According to Apple's earnings call, it shipped 6.45 million iPods in the September quarter, compared to 6.2M in the June quarter and 2M a year ago. That's right in line with the assumptions built into our forecast model. Some Wall Street firms had higher expectations. You get what you pay for.

IPod ASP is up a smidge, and company gross margins are up overall. Apple says it shipped 1 million nanos in the last 17 days of the quarter, and there are big backlogs. $265M in "other music" revenues (which includes the iTunes store, but also iPod peripherals), which is up from $241M in the June quarter and $96M a year ago.
