This weekend, Barnes and Noble's e-mail newsletter promotes a local reading by Norman Mailer with the following fascinating biographical tidbits:

    A brilliant and controversial figure, Norman Mailer is a prolific writer whose works include two Pulitzer Prize-winning books, The Armies of the Night and The Executioner's Song. He also directed films, co-founded the Village Voice, ran for mayor of New York, and was married to Marilyn Monroe.

Golly, I guess I better go amend the Wikipedia article...
