As we forecast they would earlier this year, Irish operators like Eircom are now using WiMAX to expand their broadband coverage.

Elsewhere, we see fixed WiMAX usage in niches, like this current Milton Keynes initiative in the UK. The town has unusually challenging conditions for DSL (very long loops due to the grid road layout combined with some aluminium cabling).
