Danger gets 35 million

According to news.com, Danger just closed a round for 35 million. If you haven't seen the Danger device sold by T-Mobile, called the Sidekick, you should check it out. While it's not the best cell phone in the world, it does Email, Web and IM really well.

I'm not surprised to see them get funded even in this down economy. I had lunch with Hank a few weeks back and was impressed with what he had to say. While I don't believe in converged devices as a rule, I do think there's a demographic that values IM and Email as much as they do voice and Danger understands who this crowd is. If they would just come out with a color device...
