Still in Boston<< Live from Boston | Main | Conference Pictures >> Michael Gartenberg | June 09, 2003, 10:29 PM It's been a long day here at the conference but the early feedback we're getting is wonderful. The nicest thing I heard someone say on stage (and I won't say who it was) was that they felt there was more energy in the room today than they have scene at many conferences in recent years. I'd have to agree. If you were not able to make it, Denise Howell (who I finally met in person) has done an amazing job at capturing what as said. (About half the room was blogging and there are a lot of different views floating out there, which is great). Overall, it's clear to me that there is a market here and one that will be adopted by many enterprises in the coming months and years. The medium is simply too powerful to igonre as a means of fostering communication. There are also a lot of issues that need to be resolved. As I learned tonight, there are multiple standards and fragmentation will only slow market adoption. There's also the legal ramifications of this type of communication. I'll be most interested to hear the session called Law of the Blog dealing with some of the legal implications of corporate weblog adoption. |
