On the road in Helsinki<< Off to Europe | Main | Is RSS Dead? >> Michael Gartenberg | June 30, 2003, 01:07 AM Well, I made it to Helsinki after 14 hours on the road. Using a lot of new gear this trip including a Sony U-101. The pictures don't do justice to the size of this unit. Only problem is the keys are tiny... really tiny. But then again the whole package weighs about a pound and a half but is fully a Windows XP system. Hard to imagine most folks using this full time but for a trip like this, it is a lifesaver. Also using a new HP 2200 Pocket PC. First thoughts are the software upgrade is nothing special. In fact, the connection manager is even more obscure tha before (I still can't connect to a WiFi network, even though I can see it) but the hardware is amazing. The device is small, but still packs SD and CF slots as well as Bluetooth. It's also fast. Wicked fast and gives Pocket PC a new life making the OS much more useable. Now if I can only get WiFi working.... |
