CNET on competitors to the iTunes Music Store. We believe that the market is for less than 1 billion dollars this year so there are lots of folks that are going after the same pie. The key is best practices. As we have pointed out in the past, there are some basic rules for adoption by consumers and a lot of the new services seem to be ignoring them and that's a fact that will work in Apple's favor. If you think it will be easy for Apple's competition to copy their offering, I would ask why no one after three years has been able to come up with a good iPod clone much less an iPod killer?

The real game will start when Apple brings iTunes Music over to Windows. Is it likely that Microsoft will take this lightly? I think not.
