To our IT Department - Thanks<< Time to Kill the Myth of the Noble Hacker | Main | Flash Memory is a security threat, let's blame Microsoft? >> Michael Gartenberg | August 23, 2003, 08:48 PM In this world, IT departments are often the most overlooked and undervalued resource. They exist to make our lives better but we often never see or hear them unless there’s a problem, in which case no matter how quickly they resolve this issue, they still face our ire. At Jupiter, our IT staff is nothing less than world class. Under the leadership of our CTO Mark Berns, they are a model of IT best practices. In the wake of last weeks attacks on the world’s computing infrastructure, Mark and his team kept the e-mail flowing and the disruption to our systems to a minimum. Thanks to Mark, Jim, Vince, Rick and all the other members of the team. You made my life easier over the last week and allowed me to get my job done. Thanks for that and the all the other unsung work that you do for the company. |
