I recall that Bill Gates one said that most users will never need more than 640k of memory. Thomas Watson Sr. once remarked there was perhaps a worldwide market for five computers and so on and so forth. Computer users needs change based on the empowerment of the software tools they get to use. IF users don't NEED 64 bit, that's only becasue no software developer has shown them that they do. YET. HINT, it won't be about word processing or spreadsheets or other "traditional applications". |
