Other than the Wrist PDA (which looks like it will make an appearance in 2004) I didn't really miss most of this yeras list. While Half Life and Doom 3 (which isn't on their list but on mine) looked great at E3, they didn't blow me away as groundbreaking. Amiga OS? Phantom Game Console... Who cares? There were some really amazing things that shipped in 03. Tablet and Media Cetner PCs, Palm's Tungsten T3, HP's iPaq 4100, Office 2k3. Of course Sony's CLIE line, which is like being able to buy the concept cars that automakers show but never market. There were some clunkers too, most of the video media players, the Smart Display all failed to ignite interest. |
