If all Apple did was deliver a portable WiFi base station, AE would be pretty cool. But plug in a pair of speakers and iTunes recognizes the device and will stream your music to it. Why is this important? Well, streaming music from a PC to home stero is the number one feature users desire for a home network according to our research. Once again Apple is delivering a product to meet the needs of a market sweet spot today (like the iPod mini's capacity of about 1,000 songs that was also a consumer sweet spot). The price point is certainly at an aceptable level for this product. I expect it to do quite well. |
