Microsoft Rebooted<< Apple And Motorola Work To Bring iTunes Music To Cell Phones | Main | convention weblogs a Success, Bloggers less so >> Michael Gartenberg | July 27, 2004, 07:56 AM One of the questions I often get is, what books should I read if I want to understand Microsoft better? I usually recommend reading the Gates biography by Stephen Manes. It's still very relevant in understanding Bill Gates and his vision for what Microsoft was about. I'm now recommending that folks read a new book by Robert Slater called Microsoft Rebooted. It's the best book I know of to understand the transformation that Microsoft has had over the last few years. I was privileged to read a drat of the book and Slater really, who spent time with key execs as well as partners and competitors really understands what has happened in Redmond. Highly recommended. |
