Actually, PT has already got the ball rolling for video-podcasting and it works with PMC, Smartphone and PocketPC. We did a little test last week. Also, Robert, you can use your phone on a flight, just tap the power button and you'll notice that you can not only switch profiles quickly but you can also enter flight mode with the radio off and the phone on. As for the Archos, I've been using the AV-480 and it's little brother the GMNI 400 a lot the last few days. I'll have a larger review later but the issue I keep coming to is where do I get the content for them? Video content for PMC and WM10 devices is easy, I just use the MCE and everything flows from there simply. I CAN record directly wit the Archos from a video source but it's less than seamless. (it's a pretty cool hack that involves using your Yahoo calendar and TV listings, but it's hardly and EPG). Also, you cant' input a TV signal directly into the Archos. You need to composite video source and something that can be controlled via and IR blaster. The smaller Archos is a nice 20gb unit that's smaller than an iPod. If music were my primary feature and I just wanted to view photos with a little video, that would be my choice. [Scobleizer: Microsoft Geek Blogger]
