Interesting rumor about a new breakout box from Apple with a code-name of asteroid. This is especially interesting in light of all the buzz going on with regard to podcasting. One of the biggest challenges to budding broadcasters is going beyond just a recording a single broadcast in one shot to adding other sources such as music, effects and all sorts of other fun stuff. This could be a real boon for folks who want to get into the action. Like desktop publishing before it, there's going to be a lot of mediocre stuff created that the "pros" will snicker about. There's also going to be some amazing stuff as well that would have never happened in days gone bay. Eighteen months from now, I wonder what percentage of content I listen to in the car on will be satellite radio, my personal music or podcasts.
