dissing and Google and bloggers in the same breath...

Cool. Michael Gorman disses both Google and Bloggers in the same piece :) I personally read more and more on different screens including some of those classic books (and some non classic ones) he mentions. But phrases like "A blog is a species of interactive electronic diary by means of which the unpublishable, untrammeled by editors or the rules of grammar, can communicate their thoughts via the web..." are just so literate and witty, how can you not like this guy?

Now the name-calling is comingfrom the president-elect of the American Library Association, Michael Gorman. An argument that depends on name-calling can't be a very strong one. It's funny how he disses search engines, but when I wanted to find out who he is, I enteredhis name into Google, and his home page came up as the first hit. Maybe he should do some more research before he rests on his laurels. Seems like the Web is doing pretty well. [Scripting News]
