The new iPods are not restricted to iTunes only video but can take Quicktime at 320x240 directly. Very cool if you're using an eyeTV from ElGato to record your TV shows on the Macintosh platform. The other is that the new iMacs do have video out so it's possible to hook one up easily to a TV set and use the remote control for the big screen experience. So how about an airport express that can do video so I can get this experience on other screens in my home? Or perhaps an updated mini with support for the remote and Front Row app that could plug directly into a TV set? |
