Windows Live is just barely<< Setting expectations | Main | Welcome to the age of contextual flow >> Michael Gartenberg | November 02, 2005, 04:52 PM I tried setting up some stuff in Windows Live and if this is what they call live, it needs a lot of work. Cloaking this in the mantra of beta software won't cut it either. In general, the site was pretty poky. Adding Gadgets was cumbersome and some like the RSS gadget refused to work at all for me. Adding RSS feeds manually resulted in a perpetual message about validating the feed. Twice, it lost all my settings for weather and stocks before i gave up. This has a long way to go before it becomes my start page or represents a threat to anyone. UPDATE - start.com works much better for me at the moment. No glitches and all my feeds validate quickly. |
