Dell and Apple... memories, memories

The NY Times reports on an Apple memo comapring the Dell and Apple stock prices. I remember the scene well, since I was there. The event was the Gartner fall symposium and the panel was a collection of varioius CEOs including Mr. Dell (I'm trying to remember if Gil Amelio, who was CEO of Apple at the time was also on the panel as well). It was an flip response to a flip question coming at an event that was IT and not consumer focused. It did get a good laugh from the audience :)

As the next PC battle shapes up , it's going to be the living room that's battlefield and it will be interesting to see who ends up in the lead over the next few years.
