The good folks at ElGato have updated their eyeTV client. In addition to a nicer look and feel, you can now check a box and have the TV shows you record transcode and get sent directly to iTunes, ready to sync to the iPod. While the overall experience still lags Media Center on the PC side (shows recored by time only, not based on metadata and there's no 10 foot UI) it is a great way to get legal video content on your iPod pretty easily. One of the biggest issues is finding legal sources of video content, and the new software in conjunction with the eyeTV make a good combination. If you're a Mac user, this is one solution worth checking out.
