I’m (probably) not ignoring you<< and Back to NY *sigh* | Main | Thinking about Zune strategy >> Michael Gartenberg | August 16, 2006, 10:37 AM I’ve discovered something disturbing recently. I was cleaning out my junk email folder and I noticed an important email that was sitting in there, going totally unnoticed. Uh oh. As they with cockroaches in NY apartments, if you see one, there’s probably more than one around. Sure enough, a closer look turned up a few more. It’s a real problem. I can’t turn off my spam filters due to the volume of junk mail but at the same time, there’s clearly stuff not getting through. This also raises a lot of questions of mail I’ve sent that I’m waiting a response for. Are you thinking reflectively about it? Are you just choosing not to answer? Or am I sitting in your junk mail folder? What’s the proper etiquette about follow up? Email is usually never immediate in terms of response. Oh well, one more issue for living in the 21st century but if you’ve sent me something and I haven’t responded, I’m probably not ignoring you. |
