Andy Ihnatko over at the Sun-Times says using Zuneis "about as pleasant as having an airbag deploy in your face." and "The Zune will be dead and gone within six months. Good riddance."

A bit harsh in my opinion but granted the Zune team has made some pretty big mistakes with the first release. I do disagree with his analysis that Zune will be gone within six months. Not going to happen. Digital music and media are strategic for Microsoft going forward. Look for an updated version of the Zune client to fix many of the current issues as well as new hardware in the next six months. Let's face it, regardless of the mistakes made, the Zune team isn't stupid, they know what needs to be done. Question is, what else does Apple have to make sure that the current gap stays the way it is.
