Another day in the life of an analyst

I've been getting a lot of requests to talk about Apple in light of some of the recent stories that have been circulating. I also have gotten a lot of general requests to talk about Apple, the iPod success story and in general what the future might bring. I just did a broadcast interview. I Ok'd the interview but made it clear that I had two issues with the producer as did our PR team prior to my call.

1. I am not (much to my parent's chagrin) an attorney so I don't comment on what's legal and what's not. I know others love to do this but if you're not a lawyer, you're really out of your depth.

2. I am not (nor is anyone at Jupiter) a financial analyst. We don't comment on a vendor's stock price and whether it might go up or down.

First question of the live interview:

Do you think the current issues on the options backdating will affect Apple's stock price?

Second question of the interview:

Do you think there will be legal repercussions and did Apple violate SEC law?

*sigh* at least they didn't ask me to tell them everything I know about the iPhone Apple Phone.
