I clearly have more than met my match. Very cool video courtesy of the MEDC team over at Microsoft. Coolest device that's shown is the new HTC VOX. It looks like a regular candy bar phone but with a hidden keyboard that slides out. It really shows off some excellent usability features. The ability to use in a traditional form factor for voice calls and short text messages and full QWERY keyboard to use for email sessions or typing long URLs. I've talked in the past about how impressed with some of the new HTC designs, with devices like the Star Trek (or Cingular 3125) the Excalibur (or T-Mobile Dash) and now the VOX, these folks are re-defining the Smartphone experience across the board with different form factors for different usage modes. |
