Solving Home Network Problems Can Be Tough<< Blogging Consultants | Main | Today's Links >> Michael Gartenberg | March 22, 2007, 01:46 PM David Pogue - "Solving home-network problems can be tough slogging indeed" Amen to that, although a lot depends on the home networking gear you're using. At the moment, the Airport Extreme here is proving most reliable. One aside, David goes into detail about his issues with movies rented from Xbox Live Video Marketplace vs. Movies purchased from iTunes. Again, I don't get the comparison. Of course rented content has a window within which it can be viewd and of course purchased content can be owned forever. One isn't better than the other, they are two different models. I like the fact that I can rent movies for my Xbox and I like that I can purchase movies for my iPod and Apple TV. There's a lot of content out there that i'm really only going to watch once. And a lot of content I'd like to own. I'd love to see both companies embrace both models and let me choose what I want to rent and what I want to purchase. For now, it's really comparing Apples to Organges. |
