It's a significant move but not a surprise given Mr. Hirai's recent promotion to President last year. The real challenge for Kaz going forward is going to be taking on the burden of following Ken's act, who led the introduction and launch of two of the most successful consoles in gaming history. It also comes at a time when Sony is facing increasing challenges from both Nintendo and Microsoft and Sony needs to move the PS3 beyond game console for living room entertainment portal. |
