Leopard Launch Official - First Take<< In Seattle | Main | Question of the day >> Michael Gartenberg | October 16, 2007, 09:22 AM Apple announced Leopard will leap into store on the 26th at 6pm. Specs are PowerPC G5 or G4 with 867mhz processor or better and 512mb RAM. Costs are consistent with Tiger, $129 single copy and $199 family. Apple was also quick to point out that this pricing is for the "Ultimate" version. I've had some hands on time at various Apple events over the last year and look forward to working with the release version. If the release delivers without any issues, Apple will have raised the bar again in what to expect from the Personal Computer experience. It will be interesting to watch what the Leopard uptake rate is as compared to Vista for Windows users. |
