5 Things I'd like to see added to the iPhone<< Windows Live Photo Gallery - Panorama Feature - Highly Recommended | Main | You say tomato, i say I still don't know if it plays on my device >> Michael Gartenberg | December 11, 2007, 02:52 PM I love the iPhone experience overall but there's a few things missing that I'd love to see. Some will require new hardware (like 3G support) but others could easily be delivered through software. Here's my list of stuff that I'm waiting for. 1. Exchange/ActiveSync support. This is the most important one for me these days. I've grown very used to not having to connect any device to sync my inbox, calendar and contacts. This is also pretty easy for Apple to implement once they've licensed the protocol from Microsoft. This would also go a long way toward getting the business market to adopt the device as well. 2. Better Office application support - Yes, you can view Word and Excel files but it's way too limited and hard to read. Apple needs a better optimized reading view for these files as well as support for limited editing. A PowerPoint viewer would be nice as well. 3. Tetris. I really can't love a mobile phone that doesn't play Tetris 4. Slingbox client. Yep, I'm in that minority that watches TV on their phones. Can't do it yet on an iPhone. I'd gladly trade YouTube for this. 5. 3G. Ok, everyone wants it and so do I, but only if it doesn't compromise battery life. |
