CES and Celebrities, Has this ever worked?<< The cost of watching Microsoft's keynote tonight | Main | The Bloggers of CES 2008 >> Michael Gartenberg | January 06, 2008, 09:41 AM It's never quite CES without a few celebrities showing up, usually at keynote events. Usually with less than ideal outcomes. While few things will ever be as bad as or Tom Cruise onstage with Terry Semel or Bill Gates and Conan O'Brien, this year should have a few good moments. Special note to Microsoft, who is it over there that thinks pairing Bill up with celebrities is a good idea? Let's face it, Bill just isn't good at bantering and the folks he has to banter with always end up looking like a deer caught in the headlights. From Jay Leno at the Windows 95 Launch, to Queen Latifah, this has never really worked. Can't wait to see who Bill's paired up with tonight. Now that's the kind keynote speculation I'm interested in. |
