Mobile World Congress - An event to keep an eye on

Next week is the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona (the event that used to be known as 3GSM). Over the past few years, this has become a more important event and has served to take a lot of the mobile news as vendors tend to make most of their announcements there and fewer things get held for the US based CTIA (which runs just a few weeks later).

Expect to see some rather interesting news coming next week from more than a few folks and expect a few surprises as well to shake up the industry a bit. I've been in briefings most of this week and there's definitely some change in the air that I'll have a lot more to say about next week. Keep your eyes on Barcelona.
