OLPC does Windows XP

I'm writing this post on a different computer than I normally use. This one's a stock OLPC running Windows XP off a 2gb SD card (with about a gig left over for storage). My first impressions are very positive. Last year, when I met with Nicholas Negroponte he discussed that XP would be an option and it was being worked on. Well, it's a reality and it works well. I think the value of Windows on the platform is huge although I can't say I love the hardware. Granted, it wasn't designed for suburban use but I find the eeepc somewhat more friendly from a hardware perspective. I plan to carry it around for a bit and ultimately let some students give me their thoughts on how they might use it. Will post more on this in the days ahead.
