The complete "me"

Ian Betteridge pointed to a comment by me on Twitter and asked if that should be on my blog. He's correct but it's also a changing world. Ten years ago, if you wanted to follow my thinking you needed to subscribe to my research or perhaps read my columns in Computerworld. Five years ago, you might have added this blog. Today, to get the complete picture you really need to see what I'm writing on Twitter and perhaps FriendFeed. You don't need to as a client but you will get a better picture of my thought process and analysis if you do along with some additional color you might or might not find interesting.

I'm also Jupiter123 on XBox Live if you want to get to know that aspect of me :)

Indiana Jones and Cake of Doom

This is not a typical post. If you don't like this kind of stuff, it's cool. Come back later and we can talk about some fun tech stuff...

Ok, they're gone. For those still here, some of you realize that the fun of going to see a movie like Indiana Jones at midnight isn't just the movie itself but the cast of characters that tends to show up in the theater. Lots of people in Fedoras and jackets but my favorite was the fan that baked this monster cake. Yep, it's a giant Indy cake and even more fun, it works. The boulder rolls and everything.

BTW - I thought the movie was great, but then again, i think the worst Indiana Jones movie was wonderful.

FriendFeed is great but perhaps not for the mainstream just yet

Lots of buzz these days from FriendFeed and after Robert, Thomas and Sean suggest I get more involved in the service, I did (to paraphrase a popular expression in the Talmud, when Robert, Thomas and Sean suggest something, take a closer look). I like it a lot, especially in the age of Twitter's total unreliable level of service. But, it's way to complex as is for most users to ever bother to master. I mean, if you need someone to put together a guide like this, the overall usability needs a lot of work. In the meantime, you can find me at http://friendfeed.com/gartenberg

UPDATE - Jeremy reminds me that he bugged me about FriendFeed as well.
