Many journalists and some analysts claim Jean-Marie Messier was visionary when building Vivendi Universal strategy a couple of years ago. Owning both content and pipe was the right decision even though the time to market was not here at that time.

Interestingly, Canal+, part of the Vivendi Universal Group, has just launched an exclusive offer on...Orange network to provide mobile VOD to French consumers. It could have been expected that famous programms such "La minute blonde" or "Les guignols" would have been seen on SFR...The only thing is that Orange has almost 50% market share on the French market.

If TPS was launched on exclusivity on Bouygues Telecom network (both companies are owned by Bouygues), expect TF1 to partner with Orange when revenues will be there...
