WildBlue Yonder

I am stumped. Somehow, WildBlue, hopeful satellite broadband provider, manages to continue to rake in money, closing a $156m round last week.

My only guess here is "in for a penny, in for a pound." Why else would people continue to pour money into something that is hugely capital intensive, very risky, won't start generating revenue for another year at least, and for which demand is, at the very, very best, minimal?

I'd like to point out to Intelsat, the NRTC, and Kleiner Perkins that investing in me will earn them at least the ROI they will get from continuing to pour buckets of cash on WildBlue. Kindly make the $156m check out to Joe Laszlo...
