Regular readers of this blog know that the FCC and telecoms policy are big interests of mine. I was therefore excited by last night's Family Guy (a rerun of an episode first shown back in November), where dysfunctional patriarch Peter Griffin takes on Washington by starting his own offensive TV station.

As the FCC continues to shift its mandate from protecting consumers from monopolistic practices by huge telecoms and media conglomerates, and toward mandating good from bad content [CBS News], it seems only natural that some content will bite back.

This short musical number [via iFilm] is probably the highlight of the piece. It aired on Fox, so it's reasonably safe for work viewing, though I worry that I'm somehow violating some Jupiter blog guideline just by posting a link to it here.
