The Most Dangerous Game?

My mom has already asked me once or twice if I've bought a Nintendo Wii yet, and when I say no, she says "Good. Don't."

I think she's hinting about a probable Christmas present, since she got me a DS Lite for my birthday this year.

But it's possible she's been reading some of the coverage of homes damaged and repetitive stress injuries sustained in just the first week of the new console's highly successful (600K sold, sold out for now) launch in the US.

I think this kind of thing is perfectly to be expected as people come to grips, so to speak, with the Wii's highly kinetic user interface. Still though, if you're lucky enough to receive one this Solstice, Christmas, Hanukah, or Kwanzaa, please, exercise a little restraint and good sense to avoid broken windows, TVs screens, and elbows.
