Just How Seriously Does Tesco Take Its Download Store?<< When I Was a Lad… | Main | Lost Tunes, Another Step Towards DRM Free >> Mark Mulligan | July 28, 2008, 03:24 PM Not very, apparently. My local store had strips of 25 pounds iTunes vouchers on every isle (i.e. alongside, among others, toilet cleaners, baked beans and shampoo, though not interestngly alongside CDs). Tesco look like they're making the same mistakes as HMV and Fnac et al - rather than risk missing out on the Apple pound / euro / dollar they'll push Apple related products even though it inherently weakens the positioning of their own digital music offerings. |
