For behavioral targeting, this opens the door further to scrutiny of privacy vs. accuracy. Personally, I'd rather get an ad for something I'm actually interested in. But obviously not if it also means that I'm vulnerable in any way. Still, something about "throwing away" all of that data so it doesn't get into the wrong hands just seems like a missed opportunity. |
