Still the Showman

A German Website has posted a video purportedly to be Steve Jobs' introduction of the Macintosh; 21 years ago, on January 24, 1984. The video credits Scott Knaster for the preservation and restoration.

The younger Steve may read from prepared comments while standing behind a podium--a much different style than his more recent Macworld keynotes--and he may not have yet adopted the signature black turtleneck, but the strong sense of the dramatic is there. While the video may have tremendous historical value--and, of course, I'm assuming it's authentic--I find the then-and-now similarities in speaking style and presentation to be worth watching.
