Fly Song for a Song

Delta's Song airlines is offering free iTunes music or iPod mini player to frequent travelers during most of September through early October. For one roundtrip, flyers can snag 100 songs from iTunes. Three roundtrips and the flyer can take an iPod mini instead. Considering iPod mini remains a sold-out item in many areas, flying Song isn't a bad way to get one.

This promotion, like others, shows the marketing value of digital music stores as more than just selling songs. Then there is the growing mainstream appeal of music players. And there is plenty of free music to be found, whether when buying a Big Mac, Slurpee or Pepsi, staying at Starwood's W or flying Song.
