ITI Neovision to Launch Third DTH Platform in Poland

ITI Neovision has officially launched its DTH platform dubbed ‘N’ in Poland making it the country’s third satellite player. N launches in direct competition with Canal Plus Cyfrowy and Polsat Cyfrowy, although it is the only one of the three to offer HDTV. Click here for our complete coverage of the Polish multichannel TV market.

The N offering is highly customizable with seven thematic packages costing €2.50-€4/month each or €15 for a complete subscription. Kagan’s model indicates that ITI Neovision’s launch will spur DTH adoption near-term and will likely accelerate Canal Plus and Polsat’s HD and DVR rollouts. With three DTH operators competing alongside a mature cable sector, the battle for exclusive content can only heat up, leading to questions regarding the sustainability of such market plurality before consolidation occurs.
