Independence Air Shuts Down
It’s a sad start to the new year for Independence Air’s 2700 employees as the airline will cease operations on Thursday. Flyi filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November and put itself up for sale, but didn’t receive an offer that would keep it flying. In their last gasps...( more )

30,000 passengers mistaken on TSA watch list

Bumped traveler kicks back
Airlines routinely oversell their flights to make up for passengers who don’t show up. On good overbooked days, enough people will give up their seat in exchange for vouchers. Farewell Song
Delta Airlines announced today that they are discontinuing Song, their low fare airline. Song will continue to operate until May 2006, one month after what will be its third birthday.
