Why Sync, Indeed?
I like this post by Microsoft's Mesh team, too. It makes a great case for "fat client" personalized UI engines that manipulate data that is temporarily stored locally. It seems that locating that data in the cloud would solve a lot of the sync problems created by multiple local data...( more )

Vodafone to offer Apple's iPhone in ten markets
After the UK (02), Germany (T-Mobile), France (Orange), Austria (T-Mobile), Ireland (O2), the iPhone will be available via Vodafone in 4 new European countries (Greece, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic). Interesting to point out that Spain is not included in this announcement, probably meaning Apple will find another partner (Telefonica?)...( more )
