Speaking in Hamburg this week at Next08
I'll be in Hamburg to speak at the Next08 conference this Wednesday and Thursday. I'm really looking forward to hearing audience feedback on some of our new research on social marketing best practices -- this will be the first time we've presented any of this data to the general public....( more )

Best Buy stresses localization and cautious expansion
An article in the Financial Times today discusses Best Buy’s international expansion: the company recently announced a retail joint venture in Europe with Carphone Warehouse that brings them into nine different European countries. Best Buy will also open its own stores in Europe, as well as in Turkey and Mexico...( more )

Surveys online, the good and the bad

Off to Nokia
Off to spends a few days with Nokia, posting will be light. Fortunately for me, this means spending time with them in White Plains, not getting on a plane to Helsinki (although Helsinki is lovely this time of year)...( more )

HBO enters iTunes but with varied prices for content
Today's story in the NY Times is accurate, there is indeed variable pricing in the iTunes Store with the addition of HBO content.
